Anna Ehrner, a designer and glass artist renowned for her simple design language, was born in 1948 in Danderyd, Stockholm. Characterized by an experimental expression, she possesses the ability to create impactful pieces using minimal color, with lines of color inside the glass becoming a recurring feature. Her creations often originate from the glass itself, alongside inspiration drawn from nature.

Since 1974, Anna has been collaborating with Kosta Boda. Prior to this, she studied ceramics at the University of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack), where she later went on to teach. Anna is the designer behind several successful collections at Kosta Boda, including Contrast and Line, the latter being one of Sweden's most widely sold tableware collections of all time. For her exceptional design work, she has been awarded the prestigious Excellent Swedish Form award in both 1992 and 1994, and was the winner of Swedish Glass in 1983.

Reflecting on her creative process, Anna shares, "For me, creativity emerges in the blowing room. This is where the glass is conceived, where it's fashioned and comes alive. I want to work with the glass, not against it. In my designs, I try to follow along with the melted glass, with the sheer power, although I try at the same time to identify the simple and subtle."
